Ant Control
Ants can be a problem as the weather gets warmer. There are three different types of ants that may plague your home and property. Household ants will come into your kitchen or other areas of your home looking for food and water. Carpenter ants set up their nests inside of the wood of your home and cause damage similar to termites. Fire ants are the most dangerous ants because they can bite you, your children or your pets. They leave painful bites and can cause allergic reactions for some people.
Treating ants on your own can be difficult because in order to eliminate all the ants, you need to kill the queen and the entire colony. Baits that you buy at the store may stop the ants temporarily, but they will often come back. The technicians at EcoTek can perform a free ant inspection. They can quickly determine the types of ants and choose the best ant control treatment to solve the problem. Contact EcoTek today.

People will pick them up when traveling and bring them home in their luggage. Bed bugs can quickly set up an infestation because many people do not realize there is an issue right away.
Signs of bed bugs include seeing rows of small bites, droppings in the bedding and mattress, as well as bloodstained sheets. Frequently Asked Questions
Will my pets be safe during treatment?
Pets are naturally attracted to the treatment when it is wet, so we ask that you remove the pets from your home during a treatment and for four hours after the treatment is completed. At that point it should be dry and your pets will be safe.
Can I be gone during treatments?
You do not need to be home during a treatment, but you will need to give the technician access to your property. The technician will leave a note stating the date, time and type of treatment.
How long do treatments take?
Most treatments will take about twenty minutes. The initial appointment will take about thirty minutes. If you have a larger home, the appointment may take longer. Bed bug treatments take about an hour per room that is being treated.
What steps do I need to take before a treatment?
It depends on the type of treatment that you are having done. For a flea treatment you will need to vacuum and wash the bedding. For bed bugs, you will need to clear the clutter out of your room and wash and dry the bedding on high heat. You will receive a list when you schedule an appointment.
What damages can termites and carpenter ants do?
Termites and carpenter ants will both eat through the wooden structures in your home. Termites eat the wood, while carpenter ants just build their nests. Termites can also eat through the casings around the wiring and create a fire hazard.
How can I tell that we have fleas?
The first sign is that you will have bites around your ankles. You may also notice them on your pet or that your pet is scratching more often. If you check with a flea comb, you should be able to see the fleas on your pet.
How long does it take to clear up a rodent infestation?
This depends on how serious the infestation is. We will keep setting traps until the last rodent is caught from your home. If you have a large infestation, it can take some time to clear out all the animals. Once the last rodent is caught we can help with decontamination and cleanup
